Are ‘outsiders’ the best at managing diversity?

According to Kirk Snyder, the best managers are gay. So it says in a Guardian article Bringing the outsiders in. According to his research employees of gay managers report 35% greater job engagement, satisfaction and workplace morale than other workers.

Apparently, the reason for this what the author refers to as the G Quotient, the principles of which are:

• Inclusion

• Creativity

• Adaptability

• Connectivity

• Communication

• Intuition

• Collaboration

In short, diversity values are what it takes to run successful organisations, for the above principles are central to diversity management.
